James has spent the last 16 years within financial services, spending half of this time within the technical support team at PFP, being involved in providing financial advice to recipients of personal injury damages.
Advice formulation and report writing are James’s key areas of expertise, working closely with Richard in providing investment advice, as well as wider financial planning guidance, to clients and/or their deputies or trustees.
James sits on our investment committee and is responsible for undertaking PFP’s investment research, which includes quantative and qualitative analysis, performance monitoring and regular meetings with fund managers and product providers.
James also has a particular interest in periodical payments orders, often being instructed to draft, or check, the mechanisms required to facilitate index-linked periodical payments that form part of an award of damages in the UK and abroad.
Although primarily working on technical aspects of our advice process, James is also authorised and regulated by the FCA to provide independent financial advice.
